Have fun learning how to sew by hand! You will learn various stitches while creating your own sewing booklet keepsake. Everyone will measure and calculate fabric for a project they will design and create to help solve a problem. Will you make a mini messenger bag, skirt, headband warmer, or something else! Practice arithmetic, measurement, symmetry and proportions as you plan and execute your project.

If you had $1 million and had to make it last, how would you? Would you choose to save in gold, barter for services, or invest in a new money system? We will learn about how money started, the various types of money systems from precious metals to cryptocurrency, and how we might buy things in the future without paper money. Hands on activities such as creating jewelry to replicate silver or gold will also be incorporated.

Tues - 10:30 - 11:30 (ages 8+)
In this class we will do shorter but very engaging writing activities to exercise planning and communication skills. We will write different concise, heartwarming letters. Some examples include writing to our favorite role model, expression of gratitude to someone special in our lives, motivational inspiration to someone younger and even to our future selves! We will make lists for planning exciting adventures. An example might be going to stay in an only kids world for a month. Children's input will inspire topics as well.
