In this geography inspired class, children will learn about different countries from Asia, Africa, Europe, and/or other regions of interest. We will explore aspects of culture, common languages, landscapes, and economics, such as exports and currency. Example activities include miniature recreations of nature zen-style for a Japan study, a 3D map of Africa’s landscapes using different mediums, and lapbooks studying animals or a particular connected interest. Short presentations of creations and research are optional, but encouraged. 6 wks, $35/class, all materials included. No class week of 11/23.
